Bruno Fernandes reacts to Marcus Rashford as fresh Man United exit news emerges

Marcus Rashford’s latest social media post has caught the attention of Bruno Fernandes, after the latest update about the winger’s Manchester United departure.

Rashford has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford over the past 12 months, and it seems almost certain that he will be leaving his boyhood club this summer.

The 27-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, completing a revival of sorts as he looked somewhat back to his best under Unai Emery.

However, a hamstring injury curtailed Rashford’s campaign in April, and the England international is continuing his rehabilitation as he searches for a new home.

Barcelona could force Man United to sweat

Barcelona could be a potential destination for Rashford, with the attacker reportedly excited by the prospect of moving to Hansi Flick’s side.

However, the Spanish giants hold all the cards in negotiations, as they know that United are suffering from financial problems after missing out on Champions League football.

It would not be a surprise to see Barcelona string out the Rashford saga for as long as possible, before submitting an offer to take the winger on loan at the end of the transfer window, with an option to buy later down the line.

The Man United academy graduate took to Instagram amid the rumours, sharing some photos of himself training hard during the off-season, with the caption: “Everyday hussle.”

Red Devils teammate Fernandes liked the post to show his support.

Rashford has time to rediscover his form

Football Insider Verdict

Rashford has always been a bit of a ‘purple patch’ player, with the attacker thriving on confidence and stringing together red-hot runs of form.

However, it has been a while since he was last at his very best, and it is time for the Englishman to move on, for the good of his career.

During his loan spell at Villa, Rashford had a partial return to glory, showing glimpses of his best form for the Midlands-based side before his injury.

Rashford’s Aston Villa stats

He scored four goals and picked up six assists during his 17 appearances for Unai Emery’s side, in all competitions.

Wherever Rashford ends up next season, it will be no surprise if he starts scoring again, away from the toxic atmosphere at Man United.
