Bruno Fernandes reacts to Mazraoui development at Man United

Man United captain Bruno Fernandes has praised teammate Noussair Mazraoui after the Moroccan received the player of the month award for November.

Mazraoui has won the club’s Player of the Month award for November. As reported by their official website, the defender won the accolade for the first time with 55% of the fan vote, beating Amad Diallo (23%) and goalkeeper Andre Onana (21%).

Fernandes, took to Instagram to support his fellow teammate in winning his first individual accolade for the club.

It has subsequently been reported by The Athletic that the Red Devils’ players abandoned the club’s plans to wear an Adidas jacket in support of the LGBTQ+ community ahead of Sunday’s Premier League match against Everton after Mazraoui refused to join the initiative.

Bruno Fernandes impressed with Noussair Mazraoui

The 27-year-old was a key part of the backline which helped United maintain an unbeaten record in November, first under interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy and then Ruben Amorim.

Regardless of who was in the dugout, the versatile Moroccan has started all five matches and in that short space of time and has played in three different positions.

Still, he’s managed to impress his captain, who took to Instagram to let him know how well-deserved his recent November player of the month award is.

Mazraoui was one of the best players on the pitch for the 1-1 draw with Chelsea, where he played at left-back, before returning to his natural right-back role for the Europa League win over PAOK.

He resumed at left-back for Van Nistelrooy’s last game in charge, supplying the cross for the own goal which doubled the Red and White Army’s advantage on their way to a 3-0 triumph over Leicester City.

Since the arrival of Amorim and his 3-4-3 formation, Mazraoui is making the right-sided centre-back role his own. He produced a virtuoso assist for Rasmus Hojlund’s equaliser against Bodo/Glimt. The former Bayern Munich man then carried his form into December with another impressive outing against Everton at the weekend.
