Bruno Fernandes sends emotional six-word message as Man United exit confirmed

Bruno Fernandes has rushed to social media to make his feelings known after the latest confirmed news emerging from Old Trafford.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Keith Wyness believes that Bruno Fernandes is looking more closely at a deal in Saudi Arabia, having turned down a move during the summer.

The club captain was a driving force behind Man United’s shock win over Man City at the weekend, showcasing that the 31-year-old still has what it takes to be a Premier League star.

He currently has five goals and 10 assists to his name across all competitions, and with Michael Carrick now unleashing him in his favoured position, he is likely to increase those numbers very quickly.

However, with the January transfer window still open for another 11 days, there is still potential for the squad to change personnel. But this new update is ahead of the summer window instead.

Casemiro confirms his decision to leave Man United

Man United could extend Casemiro’s deal by an extra year, but the 33-year-old has decided to call it quits at the Theatre of Dreams instead, taking to social media with a special message for the supporters.

Taking to Instagram (22 January), Casemiro wrote: “Knowing when stages come to an end. Kowing when to say goodbye when you feel that you will be remembered and respected forever.

“Four months to give my all for this badge and for our goal. Eternal respect and affection for Manchester United and its wonderful fans. Forever Red Devil.”

Coming out of nowhere, his teammates have streamed onto social media to leave messages of love and support, with Fernandes writing: “Was a pleasure playing alongside you,” with a love heart.

Manuel Ugarte and Harry Maguire both commented with love heart emojis, while Man United’s exit-linked Joshua Zirkzee simply replied, “Crack,” also with a love heart.

Man United hierarchy to be jumping for joy as Casemiro leaves

The former Real Madrid man has been so hot-and-cold since signing for the Red Devils in the summer of 2022, with 146 appearances to his name in that time.

As one of, if not the highest, earners at Old Trafford, supporters have come to expect a lot more from the veteran midfielder, but he is often left struggling in the middle of the park.

United’s financial problems behind the scenes have been no secret, with the club having to get rid of many hundreds of workers, all while keeping high-profile players on the books.

Another year with Casemiro would have only deepened their problems in the financial area, but the main problem will be finding someone to replace a player of his calibre.

Of course, the Red Devils are always on the search for new talent, such as Elliot Anderson and Adam Wharton, but, obviously, they come with hefty price tags in any transfer window.
