Bruno Fernandes sends stunned ‘David Beckham’ message to Mason Mount
Bruno Fernandes dedicated a heartfelt message to Mason Mount as the side beat Athletic Club in the Europa League.
The Red Devils booked their place in the Europa League final with a dominant 4-1 win over Athletic Club, sealing a 7-1 victory on aggregate.
Man United entered the second leg with a comfortable three-goal cushion following a 3-0 first-leg win, in which Fernandes scored twice for Ruben Amorim’s side, to put them firmly in control of the tie.
Despite an early setback at Old Trafford when Mikel Jauregizar netted a stunning strike for the visitors, Mount made an instant impact off the bench.
The midfielder pulled United level just ten minutes after coming on, producing a superb turn before curling the ball into the bottom corner.
Casemiro and Rasmus Hojlund added to the scoreline to extend United’s lead, but Mount wasn’t finished. He capped off the night with a long-range strike into an empty net after a misplaced pass from goalkeeper Julen Agirrezebala.
Fernandes, who once again played a crucial role for the side, had a message for the fans and took a moment to praise Mount after his match-winning contribution.

The post drew plenty of attention, with Harry Maguire, Arsenal’s Declan Rice and Leny Yoro among those liking the message. Amad also responded in the comments, saying: “Always the best.”
Mount has faced pressure from Man United fans throughout the season due to persistent injury problems that have repeatedly disrupted his momentum.
Meanwhile, Fernandes continues to underline his importance to Ruben Amorim’s side as they prepare to face Tottenham in what promises to be a momentous Europa League final.

Bruno Fernandes linked with Man United exit amid Saudi Pro League interest
Despite his vital role in the squad, speculation has surfaced suggesting Fernandes could leave Man United this summer.
Saudi giants Al-Hilal have reportedly opened talks with Fernandes and his camp as they look to tempt the Portuguese international with a lucrative move.
After missing out on a high-profile deal for Mohamed Salah, the club are believed to be keen on securing another marquee Premier League name.
However, Amorim will be desperate to keep hold of his captain as United chase their first European silverware in eight years.
