Bryan Mbeumo: Man United and Newcastle transfer updates today
Newcastle and Man United are preparing to fight Arsenal to secure a deal for Brentford star man Bryan Mbeumo, sources have told Football Insider.
All three clubs are ready to swoop for the forward, 25, this summer as they vie to bolster their respective attacks.
Sources say Brentford value Mbeumo at £60million – with the Cameroon international currently having just one year to run on his contract and an option to extend by a further 12 months.
However, Newcastle and Man United will suffer a blow in the race if they cannot offer the Bees star Champions League football.

Eddie Howe’s Magpies sit fourth in the Premier League and are well placed to qualify, while United must win the Europa League to qualify for the league phase next term.
Arsenal sit second in the table despite their recent poor form but face Liverpool, Newcastle and Southampton in their final three league games.

Mbeumo has hit 18 goals and notched eight assists in 39 appearances across all competitions for Brentford in the 2024-25 campaign.
He has primarily lined up on the right wing this term but can also play as a centre-forward.
The France-born ace is set to play for Cameroon at the Africa Cup of Nations later this year.
Newcastle prepare swoop for Bayern Munich star
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on 27 April that Newcastle are also working on a deal to sign Kim-Min Jae from Bayern Munich this summer.
Howe is keen to strengthen his squad at St. James’ Park this summer ahead of a potential Champions League campaign.
Football Insider sources have been told that the 28-year-old would be available for around £40million.
