Bryan Mbeumo reacts as Brentford make ‘golden boy’ transfer announcement
Bryan Mbeumo has reacted after Brentford posted a transfer announcement on social media amid interest from several Premier League giants.
The Bees ended their season with a 1-1 draw against Wolves, with Fulham’s 2-0 loss to Man City securing a top-10 Premier League finish for Tottenham target Thomas Frank’s side.
The Cameroon international was one half of a double-threat with Arsenal target Yoane Wissa this season, as the pair combined for 39 Premier League goals and 11 assists this season.
But as so often happens when a player from a mid-table club starts usurping the usual suspects at the top of the scoring charts, the big clubs come looking.
Mbeumo is a transfer target for Newcastle, Man United, and Arsenal, whilst there is plenty more interest from clubs both at home and abroad.
And ahead of what will likely be a busy transfer window for the West London club, Brentford have already confirmed their first deal.

Brentford make Michael Kayode loan from Fiorentina permanent
Following the culmination of their Premier League season, Brentford announced that Michael Kayode would be joining the club permanently from Fiorentina.
The club shared plenty of photos on their Instagram following the move, captioned: “Golden boy is here to stay.
“We are delighted to announce that Michael Kayode has completed a permanent move to TW8, signing an initial contract until 2030”.
The post was liked by Mbeumo, showing his support for the young Italian defender.
Michael Kayode a serious coup for Thomas Frank’s Brentford side
Football Insider Verdict
Kayode’s has gone somewhat under the radar in England, having left Fiorentina to join Frank’s side on loan in January.
But in Italy, the 20-year-old is regarded as one of their hottest defensive prospects in years, with several clubs, including Inter Milan, showing interest in him in the winter [Gazetta].

After a slow start, Frank began to show more trust in Kayode, and the Italy Under-21 international repaid that faith with a series of impressive performances to bookend the season.
The former Fiorentina man registered his first assist for the club in the 4-3 win over Man United and was similarly stellar in victories over Ipswich and Nottingham Forest.
With a summer to acclimate to Brentford’s style of play, Kayode has the potential to enjoy a breakout season comparable to Milos Kerkez’s this year.
