Bukayo Saka, Ryan Gravenberch respond to Jurrien Timber’s fiery Arsenal message
Jurrien Timber caught plenty of attention from Premier League stars as Arsenal prepare for the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.
The Gunners came extremely close to finally lifting silverware for the first time since the 2019/20 campaign, reaching the semi-final of the Champions League as well as placing second in the Premier League.
Despite a clear improvement on the pitch, Mikel Arteta remains under pressure as Arsenal boss, with supporters growing impatient with the manager’s failure to win another trophy.
Timber had a very impressive first season at the Emirates Stadium, notching two goals and four assists in 48 appearances across all competitions, and he will be aiming for a repeat next season.
Making up a defensive line with William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Myles Lewis-Skelly, Arsenal should be able to compete against Liverpool for the league title once again, but it will not be easy at all.

Jurrien Timber shows off new Arsenal kit
Taking to Instagram (21 July), Timber shared images of the new Arsenal kit, writing: “Fresh for on the road,” with a fire emoji, gaining plenty of attention from Premier League stars.
Teammates Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard, Mikel Merino, and Saliba all liked the post, joined by Liverpool duo Jeremie Frimpong and Ryan Gravenberch.
Mikel Arteta to aim for success at Arsenal next season
Football Insider verdict
The Gunners’ defence will be incredibly important to the club’s domestic and European title charges, but it is the striker spot that is concerning supporters the most ahead of next season.
Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard have been added to the squad for more depth in midfield, joining Declan Rice, with Noni Madueke signed from Chelsea for £48.5million to backup Saka [BBC Sport].
The likes of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus are also likely to return from injury very soon, but neither has been deemed good enough to lead the team to the Premier League title ahead of Arne Slot’s Reds.

Arsenal have long been linked with Viktor Gyokeres, as well as Ollie Watkins and Benjamin Sesko, but a deal with Sporting CP continues to falter due to the club president’s demands.
Sealing the signing of a new striker is likely to be the final piece of the puzzle at the Emirates ahead of next season, but supporters are becoming more and more anxious as time goes on.
Arteta’s job also likely hangs in the balance, with Andrea Berta now appointed to help with transfers, so if the right players cannot be signed, the finger will be pointed straight at the under-pressure manager.
