Caixinha to make another transfer splurge, Rangers working on multiple deals

By Harry Sykes

Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has revealed he is hopeful of capturing his remaining targets before the transfer window closes.

The Portuguese coach has added nine new faces since the end of last season but says he is not finished yet.

Caixinha suggested that Ibrox chiefs are working on securing a number of new signings as he eyes another transfer splurge before the 31 August cut-off.

“The window closes at the end of the month, we know and believe in everyone that we are working in the same direction,” Caixinha told the official Rangers website.

“We know what we want to make our squad stronger or at least more balanced.”

Caixinha did not drop any hints in terms of the targets he is aiming to secure but Rangers have been strongly linked with signing Hearts winger Jamie Walker and Aberdeen central midfielder Kenny McLean.

“The chairman, Stewart Robertson, Andrew Dickson and Mark Allen are all working hard and we know what we want,” Caixinha explained to the Rangers website.

“Sometimes the time is not what you might think is the perfect time but we still have time to make decisions.

“The most important thing is we know what we want, we all believe in what we want and all of us are working together for it.”
