Calvin Bassey cited by expert as Arsenal close in on fifth summer signing
Alan Hutton has claimed Arsenal are set to get the “right” price for Oleksandr Zinchenko if comparisons with Ajax’s move for Calvin Bassey.
Speaking to Football Insider, the ex-Premier League right-back said £30million is a fair price for a player with Zinchenko’s record.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano (19 July), the Gunners have agreed a fee of £30m for the 25-year old who would become the club’s fifth signing of the window.

The Ukraine international is said to have accepted the move.
The left-back has two years remaining on his contract at the Etihad.
When asked if he thought £30m is a fair price for Arsenal to pay for the defender, Hutton told Football Insider: “He’s coming from the champions, he’s won a lot.
“Has he played as many games as he wanted? Probably not. But you’re at a team where there’s superstars and he held his own.
“He’s still young and he’s still got a lot to give so I think it’s probably about right.
“If you look at some of the fees that are getting bandied about now. You look at the likes of [Calvin] Bassey who’s only 22 at Rangers going for £20million and that’s no disrespect to him he had a great season.
“So for somebody who’s been down there, won the league, played in the Champions League, it’s probably about right.“

Zinchenko made 28 appearances for City across all competitions last season.
During that time he provided five assists.
