Campbell makes ‘big’ West Ham claim after Moyes completes ‘brilliant’ business

Kevin Campbell insists West Ham have solved one of their major problems after a successful summer transfer window.

The Arsenal icon, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the Hammers’ business.

West Ham signed Kurt Zouma, Nikola Vlasic and Alex Kral after a late rush to complete deals.

Zouma joined the Hammers from Chelsea before Vlasic and Kral joined from CSKA Moscow and Spartak Moscow respectively.

The Hammers secured a top six finish last season and will take part in the Europa League this year.

Campbell insists the Hammers have the ability to match last season’s finish after a strong window.

“The plan is to match last season’s effort,” Campbell told Football Insider assistant editor Dylan Childs.

“They have strengthened in certain areas and brought in some good players like Vlasic.

“Vlasic has improved immensely from his time at Everton. He is a renowned player now, a full international, he’s a brilliant signing.

“Moyes has gone about his business pretty quietly and he’s building a really good squad there at West Ham.

“If there are injuries they have enough players to pick up the slack. That was the big problem for West Ham last season.

“They have definitely strengthened this summer 100%

West Ham currently sit 2nd in the Premier League and are unbeaten after three games.

Only Tottenham have a better record than the Hammers after winning all of their league games 1-0.
