Campbell predicts winner in 5-goal Arsenal v Leeds thriller

Kevin Campbell has predicted Arsenal to beat Leeds United 3-2 in a fixture he described as “one to watch” this weekend.

The former Gunners and Everton striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, backed his beloved side to bag a home win at the Emirates despite Leeds United’s “great form of late”.

Mikel Arteta’s side have lost back-to-back Premier League fixtures since they shared a goalless draw at Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Leeds returned to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on Monday night after they were beaten 2-1 at home by Everton last week.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side could be without talismanic midfielder Kalvin Phillips for the trip to London though after the England international suffered a calf injury against Palace.

When asked for his preview of the fixture that will see 11th in the table take on 10th, Campbell told Football Insider:

“I know the Leeds fans are confident but I am definitely going for Arsenal.

“It has to be an Arsenal win even though Leeds have been in great form of late. I have to go for the Gunners at the Emirates.

“I am going to go for a 3-2 home win. I am sure it is going to be one to watch.”

The reverse fixture in November finished goalless, despite Nicolas Pepe’s dismissal after 51 minutes.

The last time the two sides met at the Emirates was in the FA Cup last season, with a Reiss Nelson goal the difference between the two sides.

In other news, three Leeds United teenagers have been tipped to make their Premier League debuts ahead of the trip to Arsenal.
