Campbell rubbishes talkSPORT pundit’s Arsenal verdict and claims ‘he has no idea’
Kevin Campbell has rubbished the notion of Arsenal being better off if Sam Allardyce was in charge instead of Mikel Arteta.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunner striker claimed Tony Cascarino “has no idea” about the problems at the Emirates.
Cascarino told talkSPORT on September 5th that Arsenal would be in a better place if Allardyce, not Arteta, was in charge.

The ex-Chelsea striker is adamant Allardyce would make the Gunners “way better” defensively if he took the reins in north London.
Mikel Arteta is under intense scrutiny and pressure after his side lost their first three league fixtures of the 2021-22 campaign without scoring.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of Cascarino’s comments, Campbell said:
“Here’s the thing, Tony Cascarino was a great player and is a good lad but he has no idea.
“Arsenal’s problem is they cannot do the basics right. Now, Sam Allardyce’s record has gone. He lost that last season. He couldn’t do it at West Brom so what makes Tony Cascarino think he can do it at Arsenal.

“If your players cannot do the basics right you are going to struggle whoever you are, especially when you play against the teams Arsenal have. The likes of Chelsea and Man City will expose you if you cannot do the basics right.
“Arteta has a lot to learn but he is learning on the job. The truth of the matter is, winning the FA Cup was as much a curse as it was a blessing. Expectations have shot up since then.”
In other news, Arsenal made a move to re-sign midfielder and how this is how the player’s star reacted.
