Campbell salutes Tomiyasu after ‘absolutely sensational’ Arsenal reveal
Kevin Campbell has heaped praise on Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu after Saturday’s loss to Manchester City.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Highbury favourite said the 23-year-old has been “absolutely sensational” since his arrival from Bologna in August.
Tomiyasu excelled in the Gunners’ 2-1 home defeat to the Premier League champions yesterday.

Campbell is adamant Tomiyasu was a “cheap” signing despite his £19.8million price tag.
“Tomiyasu is one of the players who has really impressed me this year,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“I discussed many a time how the right-back situation was a problem. Arsenal desperately needed a right back but that conversation has not been had since Tomiyasu came to the club.
“He has been absolutely sensational. He is solid as a rock at the back. He’s aggressive, rough and can defend. Listen, he has been OK going forward as well.
“I just think he has been a really great signing. When you think about it, to get a player of his quality for below £20million was cheap money. A rock for that defence so far.”

Tomiyasu missed wins over Sunderland and Norwich last month due to injury.
The Japan international has made 16 Premier League appearances in total for Mikel Arteta’s side this season.
