Carlos Alcaraz exit will open door for Everton to agree Leo Scienza deal

Everton will have an offer on the table for Carlos Alcaraz from Racing Club in the upcoming transfer window.

According to DSports Radio on 21 May, if the Toffees are willing to negotiate, the Argentine club would be open to taking the midfielder on loan in the summer.

If the Toffees do send the 23-year-old back to his home country, it would certainly open the doors for additions in the number 10 position in L3.

Leo Scienza is a target at Hill Dickinson Stadium after an impressive season at Southampton, scoring seven goals and providing 10 assists in the Championship.

Alcaraz has been a bit-part player for David Moyes and the Argentine’s departure in the coming weeks wouldn’t come as a shock at the Merseyside outfit.

Everton to pounce on Leo Scienza deal after spygate saga

The mood in the Southampton dressing room won’t be great right now after being kicked out of the Championship play-off finals.

Tonda Eckert’s team were punished for spying on multiple opponents this season, leading to their disqualification.

Hull City have gone on to win promotion to the Premier League after beating Middlesbrough 1-0 at Wembley Stadium on 23 May, courtesy of Oliie McBurnie’s 94th-minute winner.

Scienza and the rest of his teammates could possibly be looking for a way out after being let down by the Saints’ management and that’s where the Toffees could swoop in.

David Moyes knows Leo Scienza deal won’t be easy

Football Insider understands that Aston Villa and Leeds United want Scienza.

Everton will surely have to make an enticing sporting guarantee to the 27-year-old Brazilian to convince him to join them over someone like the Lions, who will be playing in the Champions League next season.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has cemented his place in the number 10 role for the Toffees since moving from Chelsea, but the English midfielder’s form in recent weeks hasn’t been encouraging.

The Merseysiders clearly need more quality in depth in their ranks, but only time will tell whether they can sign Scienza from Southampton.
