Sources: Celtic star Conor Hazard looking for new club after being frozen out by Postecoglu

Celtic goalkeeper Conor Hazard is on the lookout for a new club after failing to win over Ange Postecoglu since his return from a successful loan, sources have told Football Insider.

The Northern Ireland international, 24, had an outstanding loan spell last year at HJK Helsinki, where he won the Finnish league, starred in the Europa League and was named goalkeeper of the year.

But his future at Celtic is in major doubt, where he is way down the keeper pecking order behind Joe Hart, his deputy Scott Bain and 2022 arrival Benjamin Siegrist.

Hazard has a contract with the Glasgow giants that runs until the summer of 2024.

But it is believed that Celtic will given him the green light to go on loan again next season, or perhaps even secure a permanent move.

It was viewed as a surprise in some quarters that he did not go out on loan again in January after making such a success of his HJK Helsinki move last year.

He joined the Finnish outfit in January and thrived during a campaign that ran from April until November.

Hazard had hoped his stellar form for the club, including in top-level European competition, would see him win over Postecoglu.

But the manager has stayed loyal to Hart and Bain, and the northern Irishman has failed to even make the bench since his return.

It would appear that the situation will only change if one of the senior keepers suffer an injury between now and the end of the season.

Hazard, who has four full Northern Ireland caps, has failed to add to his eight senior Celtic appearances since Postecoglu took over as manager in 2021.
