Celtic best possible XI v Rangers: Scottish duo axed for mammoth clash

COMMENT

Celtic go into the second Old Firm match of the season with a huge 11 point lead over their oldest rivals in the Scottish Premiership table.

The first match between the teams this season was a comfortable 2-0 win for the Hoops at Ibrox in September, thanks to goals from Tom Rogic and Leigh Griffiths.

After the 1-1 draw between the sides at Celtic Park last season, Brendan Rodgers knows this is a game that he can’t take for granted, even though Rangers are not the team they once were.

To ensure he gets the victory, the Hoops manager must pick the best team available for the mammoth all-Glasgow clash.

Rodgers must make two changes from the team that beat Dundee 2-0 meaning that the Scottish duo of Callum McGregor and Leigh Griffiths must be axed and replaced by Stuart Armstrong and Moussa Dembele.
