Celtic best possible XI v Rangers: Scottish duo axed for mammoth clash

GOALKEEPER AND DEFENDERS

Celtic

Craig Gordon (Goalkeeper) – Not in the best form recently but as there’s no other option available – Dorus de Vries is injured – he will continue as the number one goalkeeper

Mikael Lustig (Right-back) – Has had a poor spell but looked back to the player he can be in the match against Aberdeen and against Dundee despite his problem with foul throws

Kristoffer Ajer (Centre-half) – Hard to believe that he is only 19-year-old with such as is unhurried ability, playing in the Old Firm will be a big test for the player

Dedryck Boyata (Centre-half) – Not playing at his best but in better form than he was a few games ago, his fledgling partnership with Ajer looks like it could reap rewards

Kieran Tierney (Left-back) – Was excellent against Dundee, great pass to set-up Forrest for the game’s opening goal, will want to get forward whenever he can
