Senior duo return in Rodgers 4-2-3-1: Celtic best possible XI v Aberdeen
GOALKEEPER AND DEFENDERS
Craig Gordon (Goalkeeper) – Not in the best form recently but still the best goalkeeper at Celtic Park, particularly now as Dorus de Vries is injured
Kieran Tierney (Left-back) – Bounced back from poor performance against Hearts with a fine goal and performance against Partick Thistle, will be a key man going forward and in defence
Dedryck Boyata (Centre-back) – Not playing very well but Rodgers will feel he can count on a player who has done well for him in the past
Jozo Simunovic (Centre-back) – Similar situation to Boyata, the senior star must return to replace Kristoffer Ajer because of his big game experience, has to improve from poor display against Hearts
Mikael Lustig (Right-back) – Has struggled at times defensively recently but can still be considered dependable enough, will be expected to attack as much as defend
