Senior duo return in Rodgers 4-2-3-1: Celtic best possible XI v Aberdeen

MIDFIELD

James Forrest (Left-winger) – Not at his best against Partick but has been in exceptional form this season, the kind of player who could win the game on his own if he’s in the mood

Scott Brown (Centre-midfield) – A big performance will be expected from the player who can control the game from midfield, a huge top of the table clash should be a game he thrives on

Stuart Armstrong (Centre-midfield) – Showed glimpses of last season’s form with his excellent goal against Partick Thistle, could well pop up with an important goal if he’s playing well

Callum McGregor (Attacking-midfield) – Has struggled recently but still has the ability to get into space and create chances, will pose a threat from the edge of the box too

Scott Sinclair (Right-wing) – Still arguably the best player in Scotland despite his indifferent form, if he’s on his game he’ll cause Aberdeen all kinds of problems
