Ajer and Edouard exits could be close as 'surprise' Celtic pictures emerge - pundit

Kristoffer Ajer and Odsonne Edouard may both be readying themselves to exit Celtic in the near future.

That is according to ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after the Daily Record published images of the pair arriving at Celtic’s pre-season training camp in Wales on 5th July.

Edouard played the last 30 minutes as Celtic beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 in their first pre-season match yesterday (7th July).

But Ajer, did not feature and Football Insider revealed today that Celtic have set his asking price at £15million after knocking back offers from Norwich.

Edouard is still looking to quit Celtic this summer despite Ange Postecoglou’s appointment as manager, as revealed by Football Insider in April.

Edouard and Ajer, both 23, are out of contract next summer.

Kenny claimed that the wantaway pair may be priming themselves ahead of moves elsewhere in the coming weeks.

He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “They’ve got to be back for pre-season and report back as they would do until a move comes.

“It might be a bit of a surprise but they’ve got make sure they are both fit and right by getting back training like everyone else.

“But it could be the possibility that they are getting ready so they get those moves sooner if they do want them.”

Celtic will return from the training camp on 14th July in time for their Champions League qualifier against FC Midtjylland four days later.

They will play further friendlies against Charlton Athletic and Bristol City in the coming days.
