Celtic expert makes Kyogo Furuhashi transfer claim after source’s Premier League club reveal
Frank McAvennie is delighted Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi is attracting transfer interest.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Hoops striker said interest in the players and the manager shows they are “doing something right”.
Earlier this month (12 February), Football Insider revealed that Crystal Palace are keeping tabs on Furuhashi, 28, and are in the market for multiple forward signings in the summer.
As quoted by the Daily Record (22 February), the striker insisted he is happy at Parkhead and wants to be “as successful as possible” with the Glasgow giants.
The Japan international said he wants to win as many trophies as possible with the Hoops.
Furuhashi has scored 24 goals in 35 appearances across all competitions for Ange Postecoglou’s side this season, including a double against Rangers to seal victory in the Viaplay Cup final on Sunday (26 February).
McAvennie insisted Celtic fans have nothing to worry about with their star striker.
“It [interest] is great it means he is doing things right.

“People are just stirring it up. Kyogo is a good player, he is so quick. As Ange says he is delighted that people are looking at his players because it means they are doing something right.
“I think it is just the start. My idea of Celtic is getting to the Champions League group stage every year and I think Ange is the man to do that.“
