Celtic expert sure on Kyogo Furuhashi transfer after source’s talks reveal
Kyogo Furuhashi will stay at Celtic despite interest from European clubs.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Hoops striker Frank McAvennie has urged the forward to stay at the club and “break records” amid potential interest elsewhere.
Football Insider revealed (7 June) that the Celts have held early talks over a new contract for the star striker in a bid to keep him at the club this summer.
The Japanese front man has interest from Premier League trio Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace as well as Serie A and Bundesliga clubs.
The Scottish Football player of the year scored 34 times for the Hoops across all competitions this season and has been the standout player for Celtic in their treble winning campaign.
With a move potentially on the cards, McAvennie believes that Kyogo will stay at Parkhead going into next season.
“He can break records at Celtic,” he told Football Insider.
“I think he’s loving life at Celtic, and you can see that through his performances every week, and you always play a better game when you are enjoying yourself.

“When you’re happy where you are and you’re happy with your surroundings you can thrive.
“The way the team plays suits Kyogo perfectly, and there is no doubt that people will come calling for his signature, but at the moment he seems he is enjoying it and is not edging for a move away from Celtic.”
In other news, Celtic are preparing a sensational move for current Premier League boss.
