Celtic fans rage at Kyogo after what he did in 2-0 win vs Hearts
Celtic fans were left frustrated by striker Kyogo Furuhashi after he failed to open the scoring against Hearts in their 2-0 win on Saturday.
The 29-year-old Japan international was one-on-one with Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon, 41, in the tenth minute but was unable to score in front of the Celtic Park crowd.
The veteran shot-stopper remained on his line, waiting for Kyogo to release his shot but the striker somehow put it wide.
Hearts thought they had the opportunity to open the scoring in the 35th minute following a handball from defender Liam Scales, but the on-field decision was overturned by VAR.
Thankfully for Kyogo, Celtic were still able to secure the win thanks to new signings Arne Engels and Luke McCowan.
The newly-capped Belgium international scored from the spot, following a handball from Hearts midfielder James Penrice.
McCowan then doubled their lead in the 90th minute with a well-placed shot from outside the box, finding the top-left corner of the net.
Hearts beat Celtic 2-0 both home and away in the Scottish Premier League last season, the only team to beat them twice domestically.
