Celtic fans react on Twitter to Warburton resignation
By Harvey Byrne
Celtic fans shared their delight on Twitter on Friday evening after Rangers manager Mark Warburton handed in his resignation at the club.
The 54-year-old boss’has felt the pressure recently after a heavy 4-1 defeat against Hearts alongside a 1-1 draw with Ross County taking the Ibrox club down to third.
Hoops fans were also eager to see the Englishman keep his job with their Glaswegian rivals earlier int he week with a 27 point gap currently between the two clubs.
However, it seems like their wishes have not been met with the club reporting from it’s official Twitter account on Friday that they had accepted the resignations of Warburton, David Weir and Frank McParland.
Despite their initial hopes Celtic fans on social media still took great delight of Warburton’s departure from Rangers and a number were keen to pay testament to the ‘magic hat’ song the Ibrox crowd chanted for him.
