Celtic fans were left stunned by Callum McGregor’s “sensational” strike in the 2-0 win against Hibernian at Easter Road.
An early goal from Nicolas Kuhn put Brendan Rodgers’ side a goal up after just three minutes, before a belter from McGregor sealed the victory before half-time.
This came just days after the 31-year-old midfielder announced his shock decision to retire from international football and focus on his club career.
Scotland boss Steve Clarke was spotted in the stands during the game, as Chris Sutton – speaking live on Sky Sports – questioned what the boss must be thinking.
Fans labelled the goal “stunning”, while many questioned McGregor’s decision to quit international football as a result of the display.

The Hoops’ captain was dominant in the middle of the park against Hibs, with his goal the cherry on top of an imperious display.
After the news of his retirement from the international stage, fans insisted it would be “brilliant” news for Celtic, and have already been proven right.
One supporter suggested he could yet return to the Scotland squad if he keeps up his performances, while others insisted the decision has made him better.
Many supporters, meanwhile, simply marvelled at his “incredible” strike which ultimately sealed the victory at Easter Road.
In other news, Celtic are set to accept a £25million bid for Matt O’Riley before 31 August.
