Celtic fans on Twitter urge Warburton to stay at Rangers
By Harvey Byrne
Celtic fans on Twitter have called for Mark Warburton to stay at Rangers in order to inflict more damage on their fierce Glaswegian rivals.
It is felt that pressure is growing on the 54-year-old following the Gers’ recent poor form which has seen them tumble down to third place in the Premiership table.
Additionally, the manager has been installed by Sky Bet as the fourth favourite to take over the vacant Nottingham Forest position at 16/1.
Rangers supporters are keen to see the club depart with the Englishman, but with 27 points currently between the two Glaswegian giants in the league Celtic fans on social media disagree.
A number of Hoops supporters have shared that they feel Warburton is doing a great job, while others were campaigning for him to remain in charge at Ibrox.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Warburton took over Rangers in the summer of 2015 and helped them return to the Premiership in the last campaign after suffering demotion in 2012.
However, with three defeats against Celtic in all competitions this season as well as the poor league position Hoops fans are now hoping Warburton stay in charge for a while longer.
