Celtic idol digs at Rangers after Malik Tillman announcement – ‘let them worry’
Celtic will not be concerned by the signings Rangers have made in the transfer window so far, according to Frank McAvennie.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Hoops striker said the Scottish Premiership champions’ attack is far superior to that of their rivals.
On 15 July, Rangers confirmed the signing of Malik Tillman, 20, on loan from Bayern Munich.
The USA international is Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
On Tuesday (19 July) this site revealed that Celtic have agreed a deal for Moritz Jenz, 23, from Lorient on a season-long loan.
Jenz is set to become the sixth signing for the Bhoys.
When asked if his former club should be concerned about how busy the Ibrox club have been during the transfer window, McAvennie told Football Insider: “Not really, the best they’ve got is [Alfredo] Morelos.
“These players that Rangers have brought in, I don’t know them so they might hit the ground running, it would be stupid for me to say whether they’ll do it or not.
“I don’t think it’ll concern Celtic. I think what Celtic are doing is just concerning themselves with themselves, I think they’re getting on with it and they’re not interested in what Rangers are doing.

“I think it’s a great way to be, let the other teams worry about you.
“As an attacking force, I don’t see anyone with the same attacking force as what Celtic have got.“
In other news, McAvennie has told Celtic to U-turn on Edouard Michut after £5m report.
