Celtic new signing Ntcham delivers Twitter verdict on win v Linfield

By Matt Bullin

Celtic new signing Olivier Ntcham has hailed Parkhead’s atmosphere after he made his debut in the 4-0 win over Linfield.

The Bhoys looked impressive on Wednesday night as Scott Sinclair scored a brace and Tom Rogic and Stuart Armstrong both bagged on a balmy evening at Celtic Park.

The 4-0 victory handed Celtic a 6-0 aggregate win, which sets up a Champions League third qualifying round tie with Rosenborg of Norway.

Ntcham, 21, shone in the heart of defence for the Hoops and he even provided the assist for Sinclair’s first strike.

He posted a message on his personal Twitter account after the game.

The 21-year-old wrote: “First official game, a great moment I won’t forget. Amazing atmosphere.”

Ntcham is one of three new faces to arrive at Parkhead this summer, as Jonny Hayes and Kendai Benyu have also signed on.

The centre-back joined the club earlier this month in a £4million move from Manchester City, and he penned a four-year deal.

He spent the last two seasons on loan with Italian outfit Genoa from City, where he made 41 appearances across all competitions, which yielded three goals.

Ntcham has been capped by France Under-21s on two occasions, and he has also featured for his nation’s Under-16s, Under-17s, Under-18s, Under-19s and Under-20s in the past as well.
