Celtic news: Malky MacKay may be set for SFA warning after controversy – Ex-Fifa official
Malky MacKay may receive a warning from the Scottish FA for his comments after Ross County’s 4-0 loss to Celtic on Saturday (19 March), according to Keith Hackett.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Fifa and Premier League official claimed MacKay questioned the integrity of the referee by suggesting Kayne Ramsay’s red card was influenced by the Parkhead crowd.
As shown on the BBC’s Sportscene programme, Ramsay was shown a straight red for a challenge on Tom Rogic in the first half with his side 3-0 down.

MacKay suggested to the programme that the noise of the crowd influenced Don Robertson’s decision that “spoiled” the game.
“For McKay to say that the referee was influenced by the crowd, he needs to have a look at the replay,” Hackett told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“The red card is coming out before you can say ‘Jack Robinson’. The referee has judged it perfectly, he’s not influenced by the crowd at all.
“I think he’ll be getting a letter from the Scottish FA because they are pretty hot when a manager makes a comment about a referee.
“What he is doing is questioning the integrity of the referee, no question.
“Before you make comments to the media, ideally the manager should have a look at the replay.”

Ramsay will now be banned for County’s next two Scottish Premiership games – a trip to Hearts and the visit of Aberdeen.
Celtic travel to Ibrox for their next game after the international break (2 April) as they sit three points clear of Rangers at the top of the table.
In other news, a Celtic 27-year-old has been told to find a new club.
