Celtic news: Pundit thrilled by ‘brilliant’ transfer report – ‘I love it’
Noel Whelan has claimed “it is brilliant to see” Celtic already working on summer transfer deals ahead of next season.
The former Leeds and Aberdeen striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, hailed Ange Postecoglou’s backroom staff for their “good scouting and hard work behind the scenes” at Parkhead.
According to the Scottish Sun (10 May) Celtic are close to completing the signing of 25-year-old Hammarby defender Mohanad Jeahze.
The Hoops’ Scottish Premiership triumph was confirmed on Wednesday (11 May) – with Postecoglou’s side crowning their achievement with a 6-0 rout of Dundee United on Saturday (14 May).
The Australian’s success stories in the transfer market include Jota, Kyogo Furuhashi, Giorgios Giakoumakis, and Cameron Carter-Vickers.
Whelan hailed Postecoglou for entering the summer window “with purpose”.
He told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury: “You can’t question his signings so far, can you?
“They’ve all done really well and fitted right into his system almost seamlessly. They’ve taken to it like a duck to water.
“I love it when teams and managers go out with purpose in the summer and get their business done early doors.
“It just points to good scouting and hard work behind the scenes that they’ve got this deal ready to go.
“They want him through the door and up to speed, ready in time for pre-season.
“I think it’s brilliant to see them not taking any time off, not resting on their laurels – Celtic want to make this title theirs next season as well.”

Jeahze is an Iraq international who impressed for Hammarby during their Europa Conference League campaign earlier this season.
Celtic will play in the Champions League group stages next term following their Scottish Premiership win.
In other news, Kieran Maguire claims the Hoops could now hijack Premier League club’s deal as £3million banked.
