Celtic plan to accept Liel Abada offer – sources
Celtic are now ready to listen to offers for winger Liel Abada in this summer’s transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed the 22-year-old is unsettled at Parkhead due to major personal issues over the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that there is a feeling from inside the club that Abada wants to depart.
Sources say the Hoops are unlikely to stand in his way when the window opens this summer.
However, Celtic are keen to recoup the £3.5million fee they paid to land the two-time Scottish Premiership winner in 2021.
Celtic ready to let Abada go – they want £3.5million+ fee
It is believed the Hoops are in a strong position to bring in that valuation after Abada signed a fresh four-year deal at the club in September – with war breaking out in his native Israel just a month later.
The main fan group at Parkhead, the Green Brigade, have frequently held aloft Palestinian flags at games despite Celtic warning against such actions.
Abada has made 11 appearances across all competitions so far in the 2023-24 campaign, notching one goal and one assist, but has been left out of the last three Scottish Premiership games.

Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers has recently confirmed the winger is “not in the right frame of mind to play”.
He has hit 29 goals and contributed 22 assists in 112 games for Celtic since joining three years ago.
