By Matt Farr
Football Insider rates the Celtic players during their 2-0 win over Hamilton in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
Craig Gordon 6 – Often a spectator. A familiar role of late.
Kieran Tierney 8 – Substantial threat on the overlap. Superb final product from the 19-year-old, involved in almost every attacking move.
Cristian Gamboa 6 – Not too much threat from Hamilton on the right. Remained composed throughout.
Dedryck Boyata 6 – Restricted the Hamilton forwards to few clear-cut opportunities.
Erik Sviatchenko 6 – Rarely challenged. A comfortable evening at the back.
Nir Bitton 7 – Commanding display. Several key interceptions and good distribution. Shown great improvement in recent weeks.
Scott Brown 7 – Strolls through the midfield week-in, week-out. Opposing midfielders just don’t compete.
Stuart Armstrong 6 – Instrumental in turning defence into attack. A positive return to the starting line-up.
Scott Sinclair 6 – A quiet evening for the winger, but active and energetic. Goal disallowed for offside.
James Forrest 6 – Forced off with injury after just 10 minutes.
Moussa Dembele 8 – Isolated in the first-half, but changed the game in an instant. Fantastic individual effort to break the deadlock. Added a second from the penalty spot.
Subs:
Gary Mackay-Steven 6 (for Forrest 10) – A series of driving runs. A pleasing display from the substitute.
Leigh Griffiths 6 (for Dembele 72) – An opportunity to regain some fitness.
Callum McGregor 6 (for Armstrong 85) – Little time to make an impact
