
Celtic player ratings v Partick Thistle: 26-year-old is 9/10

Football Insider rates the Celtic players in their 4-1 win against Partick Thistle in the Scottish Premiership on Friday night.
Craig Gordon 4 – The goalkeeper was barely tested, but he was beaten twice and was fortunate that the second goal was ruled offside.
Emilio Izaguirre 7 – Spent most of the match in Partick’s half and made some good forward runs, delivering a good cross for the fourth goal.
Mikael Lustig 6 – Done a solid job against a weak forward line.
Erik Sviatchenko 6 – Similar performance to that of Lustig, in that he did his job when required.
Cristian Gamboa 5 – The full-back was okay in defence, but lost his man in the set-piece for the goal against his team.
Scott Brown 6 – Gave a solid display in the defensive midfield position, but he was fortunate to escape a booking in the first half.
Gary Mackay-Steven 7 – The winger made some good forward runs and provided Ziggy Gordon with a headache before coming off on the hour mark.
Stuart Armstrong 8 – Armstrong found himself in the right position for the first goal before powering home a stunning effort for the second.
Tomas Rogic 7 – Caused some problems to the Partick defence before receiving a kick from a defender which saw him brought off on the 59th minute.
Patrick Roberts 6 – The on loan star was fairly quiet across the 90 minutes and struggled make much of an impact
Leigh Griffiths 9 – The 26-year-old was handed an opportunity for the game and he took it with both hands. He assisted both of Armstrong’s goals and fully deserved his with a sweet curling strike.
