Celtic player ratings v Anderlecht: Midfielder has a nightmare as duo shine brightest

By James Black

Celtic saw off Anderlecht 3-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday night after goals from Leigh Griffiths, Patrick Roberts and Scott Sinclair.

The Hoops had previously only won once away from home in the Champions League but brushed that aside to take the win in Belgium, earning this first away clean sheet in the process.

Brendan Rodgers will be concerned after seeing captain Scott Brown limp off in the second-half with a hamstring injury which could see him out of action for a while.

The Scottish champions had lost their previous game against Paris Saint-Germain 5-0 but bested the Belgians in a game which could go along way to deciding who finished third in Group B behind PSG and Bayern Munich.

The Belgians recently sacked their manager, replacing him with scout Nicolas Frutos, and the result will have heaped pressure on the interim boss after two domestic wins in his first two gaems.
