Edouard could now stay at Celtic amid talks update - Kenny
Odsonne Edouard may have scared off transfer suitors with his lacklustre performance for Celtic against Hearts on 31st July.
That is according to ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 23-year-old wantaway striker.
This site revealed earlier today (5th August) that Brighton are in talks to sign Edouard and are working to strike a deal before the new Premier League season.
The Frenchman has a year remaining on his Parkhead deal and has knocked back a series of contract offers from the club.
And Kenny claims his performance in the 2-1 defeat on the opening day of the domestic season could lead scouts to dial back their interest.

“They might be having second thoughts now,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“I don’t care if he’s looking for a move, when you put that shirt on you’re doing something that millions of people would love to do.
“If you can’t go out there and give 100 per cent then you’ve got a problem. I’m not having it for one minute.
“If I was a scout for a club I’d be concerned that he’d down tools for my club. I don’t get it one bit.
“Why wouldn’t he try harder? That might even force that move through quicker for him.
“But what about if he does the same six months down the line at Brighton? You don’t want people like that about.”
Edouard could feature in this evening’s Europa League third round qualifier against FK Jablonec.
The striker has bagged 83 goals since first signing for the Hoops, initially on loan, in 2017.
