Celtic star Edouard told to get real as 'huge' wage demands emerge - Kenny
Odsonne Edouard may need to be “more realistic” with his wage demands if he is to exit Celtic this summer.
So says ex-Premier League shot-stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 23-year-old wantaway Hoops striker.
This site first broke news on 14 August that Ligue 1 outfit OGC Nice are lining up an official bid to sign the Frenchman.
Brighton are also interested in signing Edouard and opened talks to sign him earlier this month, as revealed by Football Insider.
And the Scottish Sun reported on 14 August that Edouard, who has a year left on his Parkhead deal, is demanding at least £85,000-a-week.
Kenny noted the centre-forward’s sky-high salary expectations and suggested that they could be a barrier to his exit plans.

“It’s a huge amount of money to ask for,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“He might need to be a little more realistic if he wants that move to the Premier League.
“He’s only got a year left. Will he get that money as a free transfer when his contract’s up?
“But people will only pay what they want to pay. And as we’re always saying, the situation with Covid means a lot of clubs are cutting back.
“There are clubs signing players to longer contracts to protect their assets and doing more things in that direction.
“It will be interesting to see what the outcome of that one is because it’s been playing out for a while now.“
