Sources: Nice launch bid to sign Celtic star Edouard
OGC Nice are lining up a bid to sign Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The 23-year-old has been the subject of much interest from across Europe as he heads into the final year of his contract at Parkhead.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider Nice have registered their interest in the striker and an official offer is expected to be imminent.
Football Insider revealed earlier this month (August 5th) Brighton had opened talks to sign Edouard.
It is understood the two clubs and the striker’s representatives were still in discussions earlier this week (August 10th).
However, Nice are keen to take the France under-21 back to his homeland before the transfer window shuts.

Celtic are likely to have to accept a bid of less than £20million for Edouard due to his contract situation.
The Hoops had set a £40million asking price last summer but that was cut to £25million in January.
The Glasgow giants have tabled a series of new contract offers but the former PSG man has knocked them back.
Manager Ange Postecoglou recently admitted there was some concern at Parkhead about losing Edouard on a free next summer.
The Australian boss has used the striker in all six of Celtic’s games this season, with his first goal coming against Dundee.
He scored 22 times in 40 appearances across all competitions last term.
The Frenchman has contributed a total of 84 goals and 38 assists in 174 games for the Bhoys.
Celtic also have Leigh Griffiths, Albian Ajeti and Kyogo Furuhashi as their other centre-forward options.
