Celtic star Edouard will treat Brighton as stepping stone while dreaming of 'biggest club possible' - Hutton
Alan Hutton insists Odsonne Edouard will treat Brighton as a stepping stone if he joins the club from Celtic.
The Rangers icon, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the latest reports on the Frenchman’s future.
The Express (July 18th) claim Brighton are set to put some of the £50million from Ben White’s prospective sale to Arsenal towards trying to sign Edouard.
Edouard, 23, is out of contract next summer and appears likely to follow Kristoffer Ajer out of Parkhead.
As revealed by Football Insider on June 19th, Edouard has told his friends he expects to leave Celtic by the end of this transfer window.
This came as talks over a move to Leicester City broke down.

Hutton claims he knows what Edouard is thinking as he weighs up the next move in his career.
“There were some decent clubs in for him in the past,” Hutton told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge.
“You need to strike when the iron’s hot, if Leicester come in for you, that’s when you go.
“Maybe, in his mind, he sees the move as a stepping stone. And that’s no disrespect to Brighton.
“They play good, attractive football. They have a young manager with a good philosophy.
“They were just missing goals. Edouard can do that for them. He’ll think he can go down there and prove himself to earn a bigger move.
“He’s still so young. He has loads of time to develop and mature, he has that on his side.
“I know how he thinks, he’ll want to go to the biggest club possible.
“We’ll have to wait and see where he ends up.”
