Celtic star in line for axe as Kyogo Furuhashi footage emerges – Glasgow pundit
Kyogo Furuhashi will reprise his role in the Celtic starting XI once “fully fit”, according to Alan Hutton.
The former Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 27-year-old is a “cut above” the Hoops’ other striking options despite their impressive form in his absence.
As quoted by the Glasgow Times on Monday (21 March), Furuhashi revealed, “I am in very good condition and feel I will be back soon.”

The Japan international is out with a hamstring injury and has seen just 15 minutes of action since the beginning of December 2021.
In Furuhashi’s absence, Giorgos Giakoumakis has emerged as first-choice for Postecoglou – scoring hattricks in his last two league starts.
However, Hutton claimed the Japanese star will reclaim a starting role once he returns to fitness.
“It’s a really difficult one for Postecoglou,” he told Football Insider‘s Russell Edge.
“He’s got all these attackers doing well. Maeda, Jota, Giakoumakis, Abada – they’re all flying.
“It’s a tough side to break into. But I’m pretty sure that once he’s fully fit, he will break back in and find a place in that side.
“Whether he has to tweak the formation or someone has to sit out – I just think from what I’ve seen so far, Kyogo is a cut above the rest.
“With the options they’ve got at the moment they can afford to feed him in slowly and take their time, but when he’s fully fit – he has to play.”

Prior to his injury, Furuhashi had netted 16 goals in 26 games for Celtic.
The Hoops sit top of the Scottish Premiership – three points ahead of rivals Rangers.
