Celtic star Kyogo Furuhashi ‘dreaming’ of Premier League move – sources
Celtic talisman Kyogo Furuhashi dreams of playing in the Premier League ahead of a possible move this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed Crystal Palace have watched the 28-year-old regularly this season and have been left impressed by his performances.
Celtic are braced for offers for Furuhashi over the off-season – and a bid of £15million could be enough to prise the forward away from Parkhead.
The forward became an instant fan favourite after joining the Hoops in 2021 but has reached new heights with his performances in the 2022-23 campaign.
Furuhashi has notched 26 goals and five assists in 40 games across all competitions and leads the Scottish Premiership scoring charts with 20 strikes.
He also enjoyed a successful season in the 2021-22 campaign, managing 20 goals and five assists across 33 outings in all competitions as Celtic won a league and cup double.
The Japan international, who cost Celtic a reported fee of £4.6million, is under contract at Parkhead until May 2025.
He could become the latest Hoops export to make the move south of the border, following in the footsteps of players like Virgil van Dijk, Odsonne Edouard and Kieran Tierney.
Furuhashi is just one of a number of Japanese stars currently plying their trade at Parkhead – with Football Insider revealing on Friday (7 April) that Brighton are interested in midfield star Reo Hatate.
They have the chance to help Celtic retain the Scottish Premiership this term – with a domestic treble also very much possible.

Meanwhile, interested club Crystal Palace must survive relegation from the Premier League in order to firm up their interest in the striker this summer.
The Eagles are currently without a long-term manager, with Roy Hodgson returning to the club on a short-term basis last month following Patrick Vieira’s recent sacking.
