Hayes has been a standout at Aberdeen in recent years before making the switch to Celtic Park this summer.
Despite this, Hayes has already been linked with a move away with Cardiff reportedly interested in taking him on loan before the transfer window closed last night.
At 30, Hayes needs to make an impression quickly but has fallen down the pecking order already.
It’s unlikely Hayes will go on and replicate his Pittodrie form under Brendan Rodgers.
