Celtic tipped to accept £12m Ajer bid after agent reveal - pundit
Alan Hutton has tipped Celtic to accept a £12million offer for Kristoffer Ajer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Rangers and Premier League defender claimed Ajer‘s head has been turned and Celtic need to sort out the situation before their crucial Champions League qualifier later this month.
Football Insider learned on 8 July the Hoops have made it clear to agents they want to secure a £15million fee for the defender.
Premier League newboys Norwich City have had a number of offers rejected but are still pushing hard for his signature.
They face competition from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.
Asked whether a compromise could be reached at £12million, Hutton told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge: “I think they’d be happy with that if I’m being really honest.

“We’re talking about a guy who’s desperate to leave. I know in a Celtic jersey he’s done well. There’s no getting away from that. He’s been a strong player at the back and they’ve missed him when he’s not been there. He’s even filled in at full-back.
“He has done well for them but when the rumours start to circulate about AC Milan his head was turned.
“If they can get £12million for him, they’d be happy and [Ange] Postecoglou would look to reinvest that into the squad because there’s obviously a lot of positions where they need to improve and get quality in through the door.
“The Champions League qualifier is just around the corner so they’ve got to act fast.
“£12million coming in would do them the world of good.”
