Celtic tipped to axe Giorgos Giakoumakis after what McAvennie has seen
Frank McAvennie has suggested Kyogo Furuhashi will return to the Celtic starting XI against Livingston on Saturday (10 September).
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Hoops striker suggested David Turnbull, Anthony Ralston and new signing Oliver Abildgaard could all make the Celts’ starting lineup.
Kyogo was a substitute on Tuesday (6 September) in the Green and Whites’ 3-0 Champions League defeat to Real Madrid.
The 27-year-old replaced Giorgios Giakoumakis for the final 20 minutes of the European clash.
Furuhashi picked up a shoulder injury in the first half of Celtic’s 4-0 win over Glasgow rivals Rangers on Saturday (3 September).
McAvennie has claimed the striker will be back in the starting lineup this weekend.
“He’ll play Kyogo that’s for sure,” he told Football Insider.
“His pace and energy, he must have got a bruised shoulder the other night. Believe me when I say it’s sore when that happens but he’ll be back now.
“I think Turbull will start. There’s a few to come in. I think Abildgaard will get a game. Tony Ralston could come in. He’s got players that will be able to come in.
“It’s not changes for changes, he’s got a first XI and then the rest are like for like so I’ve not got a problem.“

Kyogo has started every Premiership game for Celtic so far this season.
During those outings he has scored six goals and provided one assist.
