Celtic tipped to win all three April Old Firm games after ‘absolutely massive’ Rangers ‘blow’ – Kenny

Celtic could register three wins over Rangers in April with Kyogo Furuhashi set to return to full fitness.

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider amid the latest on the striker’s fitness.

Celtic fans spotted Furuhashi, 27, in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment during a recent Celtic training video.

The Japan international can be spotted in the back of the image, with a ball at his feet, away from his teammates.

Ex-Hoops hitman and Football Insider pundit Frank McAvennie insists Furuhashi will be back in time for April’s games against Rangers after speaking to “people who know” (18 March).

Kenny claims Celtic are favourites for all three Old Firm games billed for April.

“Celtic are probably going into these games as favourites,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“That’s before you get to Furuhashi. If he comes back for those games it’s absolutely massive.

“You are getting your best player back for games that could decide the title.

“We are at the business end of the season so you need your best players available.

“They won’t want to risk him getting injured so they will have to be careful.

“But even if he isn’t fit, the other strikers have been really good.

“It’s a blow for Rangers, for sure, but I’m sure Celtic are just happy to have him back.”

Furuhashi has not played in 2022 due to a hamstring injury picked up in December 2021.

He’s scored 16 goals in 26 games for the Hoops this season.
