Celtic to sign Lennon Miller after his father’s reveal – Fans react

Celtic fans have backed the club to land a deal to sign Motherwell youngster Lennon Miller after what his dad said about Callum McGregor.

Lee Miller, a former Scotland international and Aberdeen player among several other clubs, insisted Lennon looks up to the Celtic captain.

He highlighted his spell on loan at Notts County and what he has achieved since with Celtic – including his impressive performance in the recent win against Rangers.

Speaking to PLZ Soccer [4 September], he shared: “Look at Callum McGregor, he went on loan… and he’s come back and had an unbelievable career.

Look at him in the Old Firm game, he bossed it. He’s an exceptional player and I think Lennon looks up to players like that in terms of looking at what he’s done in the game.”

The 18-year-old Motherwell midfielder is catching the eye with his performances in the SPFL and has been heavily tipped to make the step up to Parkhead.

Rangers had also been in the running for Miller’s signature during the summer transfer window, as former Ibrox man Alan Hutton told Football Insider.

Despite his young age, Miller already has 46 senior appearances to his name and has recorded two goals and five assists from midfield.

He has quickly become one of the hottest prospects in Scotland and is being coveted by the country’s top clubs with the view to a potential deal.

Now, after his dad’s recent comments, Celtic fans are convinced the club could land a deal before loaning Miller back to Motherwell for the rest of the season.

Many have also tipped the midfielder to be McGregor’s successor later down the line.
