Celtic told to accept ‘£2.5m’ Albian Ajeti bid after update – pundit
Alan Hutton has claimed Celtic will be lucky to get £2.5million for Albian Ajeti this summer.
The former Rangers and Aston Villa defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, urged the Hoops to cut their losses with the 25-year-old.
Ajeti has not been named in the matchday squad for Celtic’s first two games of the season.

The striker currently has two years remaining on his contract with the Scottish champions.
The Switzerland international joined the Glasgow club from West Ham in 2020 for a fee of £5million but has failed to hit the heights many expected.
As quoted by Football Scotland (29 July), Ange Postecoglou said the forward trained well towards the end of pre-season despite a knee injury.
The manager added that, with regards to Ajeti’s situation, there will be some movement before the end of the transfer window.
When asked if the Hoops will have to cut their losses on the striker, Hutton told Football Insider: “I think they have to, it’s as simple as that.
“He came in, big money move, everybody thought he’d hit the ground running and score all the goals. It didn’t quite work out.
“He’s been given ample opportunity to try and prove himself.

“I know he’s had his injury problems as well but at this moment in time, that £5m value has probably halved because he’s not played, he’s not been top goal-scorer or anything like that. So he’s not going to warrant that big fee.
“If Celtic want to get rid of him now, they’re going to have to cut their losses a little bit.“
In other news, Alex McLeish has issued emphatic Rangers-Celtic verdict as Giovanni van Bronckhorst fumes.
