Celtic told to agree Ange Postecoglou deal after news – McLeish
Celtic would be “very wise” to tie Ange Postecoglou down to a new long-term contract, according to Alex McLeish.
The former Scotland boss, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 56-year-old’s impressive first season in Glasgow will have prospective suitors circling Parkhead.
Speaking to Australian radio show Sportsday (2 June), Postecoglou revealed he has “never worried” about his contract terms and that he will stay for as long as the club want him.

The Glasgow Times (2 June) claim talks are underway at Celtic over a new long-term contract, with the Aussie boss currently on a one-year rolling deal.
McLeish urged the Hoops to get a deal done, with other clubs tipped to be eyeing a move.
Discussing a possible new contract for Postecoglou, McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “Given what he’s done in the season just gone by, he obviously deserves it.
“What are we saying, it’s a flash in the pan? He acted very quickly under absolute massive pressure and set about (with his job).
“To be fair, the Celtic board helped him in backing him for all these players he knew that came into the club.
“There was a wee stutter at the beginning but you know what he did after that. That is great credit to him.
“That brings suitors to the table. That’s why I think Celtic would be very wise to tie him up.”

Postecoglou joined Celtic from Yokohama F. Marinos last summer.
He won both the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish League Cup during his first season at Parkhead.
