Celtic told to U-turn on Sead Haksabanovic deal after source’s update – McAvennie
Frank McAvennie has warned Celtic against signing Sead Haksabanovic as they don’t need another winger.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Hoops striker said the Glasgow club should look to target a defensive midfielder instead.
Football Insider revealed on Friday (19 August), that the 23-year-old has undergone a medical ahead of a £2million move to Parkhead.

The Rubin Kazan winger is said to have agreed personal terms with the club.
Speaking to Sky Sports (21 August), Ange Postecoglou suggested a deal for the Montenegro international is close.
Haksabanovic currently has four years remaining on his contract with Rubin Kazan.
When asked for his assessment of the latest, McAvennie told Football Insider: “I don’t think they need anyone else.
“They definitely don’t need another winger. They’ve got [James] Forrest, [Liel] Abada, [Daizen] Maeda, Jota, the list is endless. They’ve got so many people that they can play out there. I don’t think that’s needed.

“For me, the thing that they need, and it got shown again at the weekend, they need someone to sit in that midfield. I’m hoping [Aaron] Mooy will be the one to do that. He’s obviously not up to speed yet but you just need someone to sit in there to give it a bit of protection.
“If the centre-half goes out he can fill in, so I’m hoping they bring one in. That’s all we need. But Celtic are going to be linked with everyone. There’s a few weeks left of the window and it’s going to be mental.“
