Celtic urged to re-sign Moussa Dembele after latest – ‘he likes digging Rangers,’ says pundit
Alan Hutton has urged Celtic to re-sign Moussa Dembele.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Rangers defender insisted the Hoops will not be Dembele’s only option.
According to Turkish outlet En Son Haber, as relayed by the Daily Record (7 December), Galatasaray have tabled an initial bid of £4.3million for the 26-year-old.
The striker has just over six months left on his deal with Olympique Lyon and could leave for free in the summer.
The Frenchman is believed to be keen on leaving Lyon to increase his minutes on the pitch.
Dembele quit Celtic for the Ligue 1 giants in 2018.
Hutton insisted now would be the perfect time to bring him back.
“I do not see why you would not,” he told Football Insider.
“He was excellent during his time at Celtic, he obviously got the big money move. If we are talking £4m it would be a no-brainer.

“He knows the club, he knows what it is all about. He has still got that connection with the fans, he likes his little dig at Rangers now and then so he obviously loves to be involved in all of that.
“I still think he has got a lot to give but I do not think Celtic would be his only option at that kind of price. I think strikers are hard to come by at that level so I am sure he will have other options as well.“
In other news, Celtic star Matt O’Riley has been tipped to join Newcastle United in £10m+ deal – ‘they’re interested’, says expert.
