Celtic v Rangers: Callum McGregor and Greg Taylor ‘guarantees’ issued by expert
Callum McGregor and Greg Taylor will be ready to play 90 minutes for Celtic in this weekend’s Old Firm despite featuring for Scotland during the international break.
That’s according to former Hoops hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider ahead of Sunday’s (3 April) crunch clash.
As quoted by The Scotsman, (29 March) Scots boss Steve Clarke admitted he has not let his weekend’s Old Firm influence his team selections.

He stated McGregor, 28, and Taylor, 24, have “plenty of time” to prepare for the clash.
McAvennie insists every player who has been on international duty will be ready to “give everything” in Sunday’s game regardless of how much they have played over the last two weeks.
“Steve Clarke has a club mentality up in that camp,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I can guarantee you, the Old Firm has not been discussed while they have been away.
“It will only be once the players come back to their clubs when they will start to talk about it.
“Clarke shouldn’t pick his teams with this game in mind and I know he wouldn’t do that.
“But this is the biggest game of both clubs’ season so far. It doesn’t matter how much those players played over the international break, they will be ready for the Old Firm.
“They will be absolutely going for it, I promise you that. You give everything in these games, you have to.
“McGregor and Taylor will play a big role in this game regardless.”

Celtic are three points clear of Rangers at the top of the table.
Each side has one Old Firm win to their name this season.
